Ethan's English Cafe is created and run by Ethan Strauss, a Canadian English teacher currently living in Beijing. After years of trying to teach according to the rules of the Chinese education system, Ethan grew tired of seeing very little progress and hearing so many excuses from his students. This website is his attempt at trying to actually help and be useful to those students and people who want to truely study English and not just waste time being entertained once a week by a foreigner.

Of course nothing is ever done by one person alone, many people have helped Ethan in creating this site, while there is not enough room to name everyone a special thanks to Vera Li for all the hard work she has put in helping to translate articles and giving advice on the look and content contained here.
